Can anyone explain to me why boys fight? Last night, Grady actually knocked Grayson's tooth out!!! They were wrestling around and arguing about something, and the end result was a tooth hanging by a thread. Travis is almost a dentist (I mean he brushes his teeth) so he performed the extraction. At least it was a baby tooth, and a tooth that had nearly been knocked out a couple of years ago, so it was dead anyway.
This fighting is driving me NUTS!!!

What I Love Wednesday
So this morning, I was thinking to myself, "I wish I had a way to find out what kind of face wash people use." I mean you can read it in magazines, but I always take it with a grain of salt. I figure the mags are being paid to test the product and I'm not necessarily going to get an unbiased answer.
Then, I thought, "Wouldn't it be cool to open that up on the blog? I can list a few things that I am currently loving using and find out if other people have things they love."
So, today, I am listing the top 5 health and beauty things I am loving right now. Please note, I am not being paid by anybody. These are just 5 things I love and that my friends might love, too.
1. My most favorite thing right now is Aqua Fresh Iso Active gel. It comes in a weird can like shaving cream, but it is the best toothpaste ever. Ever. It foams up and my teeth just feel so clean afterwards. I love it.
2. My Waterpik. Along the same lines. I've never used one for fear that my teeth will fall out. My mom told me some story about my grandpa using it and he lost a tooth when I was a little girl. Kind of freaked me out. But I got over it, and I love this thing. You feel so fresh after using it. It's messy, but well worth it.
3. Joico Silk Result straightening cream. It is fantastic. I use a little bit before blow drying, and it just makes it feel healthy and not so frizzy. And it doesn't look greasy. It rocks.
4. Cover Girl & Olay simply ageless foundation. Excellent product. It has SPF 22 in it, and it is so moisturizing, but not greasy. I have had less breakouts (which says a lot because right now I have the skin of a 13 year old boy). It doesn't cake up in the lines (yes, I guess it's a 13 year old boy who has laughed a lot) and it just feels good going on. It's fantastic stuff.
5. Last, but not least, cocoa butter. I buy it by the huge bottle (I use Queen Helene, not the name brand stuff) and I use it for everything. It's great on feet, elbows, hands. Can't live without it.
Okay, so someone please let me know what kind of face wash you use. I am looking for something to help me with my 13 year old boy problem. Let me know what your faves for anything are right now.
On this Veteran's Day, I want to thank those who have served or lost their lives serving this country so I am afforded so many freedoms. Thank you isn't enough.

Happy Birthday Chloe!
Because of the Great Swine Flu Epidemic, we had to postpone our little girl's 3rd birthday party. We went to Memaw and Goopa's last night and had a fantastic time. There were presents and cupcakes and smiles all around. I'd say it was worth the wait!
Happy Birthday sweet girl. You are so special and the perfect finish to our family!
P.S. Chloe won quote of the day yesterday. "Mommy, you make my whole heart happy." You make mine happy, too, baby girl.

And We Have A Tie
For best comment of the day.
"Has anyone told you that you smell like bacon?" Attribute that to my doctor before he proclaimed I had the swine flu.
"At least it's only the H1N1." Attribute that to my father. I mean, there are many worse things to get, but this didn't make me happy!

Let's Pretend, Shall We?

Playoff Pics
I'm feeling a teensy, weensy bit better today, so here are some pictures from Saturday's game in Sedro Woolley. Talked to the doctor yesterday, and I think they are so overwhelmed, they don't want to see Chloe and I unless we have a hard time breathing. It sounds like the swine flu, but more than likely didn't come from the vaccine, as the symptoms sound too severe (I guess with the vaccine-caused flu, the symptoms are mild and only last 2-3 days). Apparently we were already exposed and infected. Grrr.

Could It Be???
Could it be that we have had the swine flu? Last Saturday, I took Chloe to a free vaccination clinic. She got the live flu mist. That night, she woke up coughing, and really was having a hard time breathing. By Monday afternoon, she had a fever of 102.7. She had a fever until Friday. And a cough. And a headache. Most of the kids had variations of the same for a couple of days during the week.
Saturday we had football playoffs (both teams lost - yay! It was time, it's been a long season!) I sat in my chair with a blankie wrapped around me. Got home, and it was fever city. I am still sick. The fever. The cough. The headache that feels like your brain is pressing against your skull. The body aches. I have actually been whimpering. It's not pretty.
Hopefully I'll feel better and upload Halloween pics and last football game pics in the next couple of days.
